Coaching and seminars for managers

What?
•  You sharpen your perception of differences and their effect on working relationships.
•  You use tested explanatory models to better understand the causes of friction, and to develop solutions.
•  You test out an approach that matches your tasks and goals, and improve structures and procedures.
•  You reflect on and refine successful strategies as part of an ongoing learning process.

How?
•  You learn in a theoretical, emotional and experience-related way.
•  You develop effective forms of communication, conflict resolution and decision-making.
•  You expand your line of vision in new directions, use your emotional intelligence and test out new solutions.
•  You deepen your understanding of your responsibilities, integrate knowledge and personal skills, and develop customized solution processes.

Why?
•  As a manager you learn to react to differences within your team in an intelligent and sensitive way, and to use creative diversity productively. In that way you create a working climate that is dynamic and conducive to innovation.
•  You learn to appreciate your employees' individual skills and to lead in a manner appropriate to them: for example, depending on personality and situation, you may give certain employees detailed directions, while allowing others greater leeway and responsibility. In that way you will gradually develop a common working culture that fosters a high level of commitment, clear communication and effective teamwork.
•  Diversity requires a stable foundation if it is to reveal its true potential. You will learn to balance calculated risks against consistency. That will allow you to meet the challenge of continuous change, while also shaping that change.

Methods
You will learn to better understand where your strengths and capacities as managers lie, and how to apply these for the benefit of your team and your company. An environmental analysis provides an overview of interests, resources and the boundaries of your working environment. This provides the basis for application of strategies and the shaping of work processes.

The German language can play an important role in this process as a management tool, and training in German may be included in our service package. Alternative working languages are English and French.

Seminars for international teams

• Perception
A look at the skills present in a team reveals both differences and commonalities. You become aware of how values, norms and rules affect teamwork. You will discover synergies and stumble upon contradictions.

• Understanding
You will use models to understand cultural conditioning and to help achieve your goals.

• Action
You will experiment with various approaches to discussion, negotiation, teamwork and problem-solving. A new, common team culture will be defined, establishing a new set of values, norms and rules.

• Reflection
You will experience learning processes as a day-to-day challenge. You will ask questions, analyze, compare and assess. And, finally, you will reach a decision.

You may now celebrate your success!

Methods
In structured discussions you will practice exchanging clear messages. In role-play situations you will be able to immediately sense and experience cultural differences. New approaches will emerge through the ideas and suggestions of all participants. This will result in a new, common team culture.

Language training for managers

It is easier to manage international teams if members can communicate in several languages. When you make contact with team members in their own language, you help to open their hearts and minds, and ease the way through joint projects. With this in mind, we provide training in German as a foreign language with a particular focus on professional themes and strategies. Practice-oriented training allows new team members to quickly find their place in the team.
Alternative working languages are English and French.
